Role Lead UX Designer, 3D Design & Development, and Project Management
Strengths of the Project
  • Seamless blend of physical and digital art experiences.
  • Multi-platform accessibility (desktop, mobile, AR-enabled devices, VR headsets).
  • Scalable architecture for adding new artworks and exhibitions.
  • Enhanced corporate brand experience aligned with IBM’s innovation identity.

Main Points The project integrates a normal website, AR, and VR into one unified digital art docent experience. A QR-based navigation system seamlessly connects physical artworks to structured digital content, allowing users to instantly access detailed information. The platform includes interactive floor maps and dedicated artwork pages for intuitive exploration. A WebXR-powered virtual gallery enables immersive remote viewing, while WebAR-based 3D visualizations allow users to experience artworks within their real-world surroundings, creating a cohesive blend of physical and digital engagement.
Project Goal

The primary goal of this project was to create a centralized digital art docent platform that seamlessly integrates a normal website, AR, and VR into a unified experience. The platform was designed to enhance on-site engagement through QR-enabled instant access to artwork information while also providing immersive remote access to the One Madison art collection through VR. Additionally, the project aimed to introduce AR-based interactive storytelling to deepen user engagement and build a scalable, CMS-driven system that supports future exhibitions, content updates, and digital expansion.
